i think that space is beautiful and the planet and stars are great to look at and study.

That is because we learn it by tradition .Ancients had to see space as grim reality, use it as watch .They determined seasons .Saved from predators when day light came.

near the sun, in the corona area, it's millions of degrees.<br /><br />Near earth it's also quite hot (one of the biggest problems with spacecraft is shedding waste heat). <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> <p align="center"><font color="#c0c0c0"><br /></font></p><p align="center"><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">--------</font></em></font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">--------</font></em></font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">----</font></em></font><font color="#666699">SaiphMOD@gmail.com </font><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">-------------------</font></em></font></p><p><font color="#999999"><em><font size="1">"This is my Timey Wimey Detector.  Goes "bing" when there's stuff.  It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually.  I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- </font></em></font><font size="1" color="#999999">The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"</font></p> </div>

"shedding waste heat" When and if we have successful space elevators, the climbers may have to reduce power input and thus speed to avoid overheating at the edge Earth's atmosphere? Even the tether/ribbon may be close to temperature failure? Neil

the way to get a proper understanding of the universe is to think of totally empty space and the possiblities that are there, space is the true fondation of the universe, space does not need the matter and energy but the matter and energy needs the space

Dude, they already moved your thread over to Phenomenon. Please don't keep starting the same one all over again.
