how much sooner do you think they would have launched if they were allowed to launch from Vandenburg. The O2 wouldn't have been a problem. the second stage damage might not have occured. (I don't think it was ever released as to the cause of it) and transportation time would have had to have been shorter

SG, you said you were concerned that they are wearing out the engine with all these tests. Is that still a concern of yours... or where do you predict failure would most likely arise? Engine... avionics.. etc?

*umm, I'm a "Universe" now?

Best of luck to SpaceX! That's great, I hope I have time to sneak a viewing of the launch video at work!

Let's see. The launch is 1pm California time which is 3pm Chicago time and Chicago is GMT - 6 hours, so...

The launch is Friday at 9pm GMT.

So they don't feel so pressured to launch even if there are niggles that should be looked at?

From a post on that forum:

Do we know if they are going ahead with this launch today? There's been nothing on their official site if this is the case.

Yes. SpaceX are "very excited" - as from a communication with them 30 minutes ago.

That 30 min ago would be 11am Chicago time.

Looks like the launch is still go.
Winds have been under 14 knots. They need under 22 to launch. So the weather shouldn't be a problem.
