Not a hoax exactly.
To me it looked and acted like a few dozen helium filled balloons tied together, with one or two objects hanging below.'

MW

But the Krell forgot one thing John. that's bizarre.

they look like a bunch of highly relfective balloons, but why are they out in the middle of the forest? and how did they get there? and why did they seemingly release from the tops of the trees?

I'd guess it might have been some kind of ecology experiment. Perhaps measuring conditions in and above the canopy? It looked like there were two brick shaped objects hanging below, perhaps instrument packages?

But the Krell forgot one thing John. yes, the thing looks vaguely symmetrical with those brick like things hanging down. i hate to say it as it is trite, but it looks like a weather balloon.

But why would they launch a weather baloon from the middle of the forest. It is VERY hard to get to that spot. Especially in the snow. And it looks to have about 50 or so baloons tied together. Dont weather baloons use less than 50? Like 1-3 large ones?

The things dangling below do appear to wobble about the place.

On the other hand. The videopersons friends could have camped out there with 50 baloons and some helium and released it at a predetermined time...

-pyoko the duck

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

They would launch from the middle of a forest if they were investigating forest conditions! Or creating a UFO

I saw no indications of any snow anywhere near the launch site. There may be some at the mountain peaks in the back at much higher elevations, but the open field in back above the site has no snow.

Weather balloons are only one big balloon, but you would never launch one from the middle of a forest.

Since for whatever reason it was set free from there, it would make sense to use many small ones so if a few got punctured by the trees, there would still be enough left to lift the payload.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. it just seems very easily explained by something very normal. the vid clip did not "wow" me. i was like "ok, it's a bunch of shiny balloons."

I just wish for once it were a clear image. Modern cameras, even with the inferior digital zoom that pixelates, can be 100 times clearer than that video. Where is the original? If we took a still from that video it would be an undecypherable blur. The only way we can discern some detail is because of movement.

-pyoko the duck

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Since on the russian? news site it was promoted as a UFO, of course it would be fuzzy.
If it was clear, then you could identify what it was.

It was a really crappy (out of focus and overexposed) video, wasn't it?

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Nowhere even remotely related to russian. Sounds more like the language of Chukchas (eskimo).

-pyoko the duck

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

They were roman (english) letters with lots of weird punctuation. I'm russian, so thats a definite

-pyoko the duck

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.

Turkish?

Anyway, I agree with the emerging consensus - balloons. There's nothing about the appearance or behavior that's at all anomalous.
