String theory: Why assume additional dimensions are 'rolled up?

String theory has extra dimensions (9 or so) rolled up. I have never understood why they have to be hidden in this way. We are three-dimensional time (spacetime if you like maybe) with our Universe embedded in unlimited dimensions (?). If nothing exists there how can embedding space be limited?

Even if our Universe is multidimensional why would we expect to perceive it as such (except mathematically). We might be a 3 Torus or a 4 Torus or an (n + x) Torus but we are still only capable of perceiving our 3D status. The other dimensions could still be spatial (not tiny curled) Where am I going wrong?

Yes, agreed, but for someone inside the line, they will find difficulty in understanding the effects of such twists, as their senses are restricted to the line and not beyond. Mathematical solutions might be found, but it is difficult to prove to sceptical colleagues and nearly impossible to guess the correct theory.

I should mention, too, that if our space is limited to 3D space, then any additional spatial dimensions must exist in an embedding space, which may be real (whatever 'real' means)

A twist is a static, a still, a set rotation. Twisting a one dimension line results in relative length, area, volume, and density. AND a twist potential. (It takes a force to twist that line, because that line is charged with a self repulsive force. The line is charged. That charge tries to keep the line straight.)

All from one length dimension and one twist.

If the twist is the right amount of twist, a quantum twist, that twist will bow and close that line.

Once the line is closed, that twist will rotate around that closed line….. trying to untwist. It’s trying to untwist because of the self repulsiveness. One half of the structure is untwisting----- which re-twists, the other half of structure.

This winding and unwinding twist ---- rotates around the closed structure.

The stripe on a rotating barber pole is stationary. BUT if you close the barber pole, the stripe will rotate around that stationary rolling pole.

Now imagine that with a hula hoop barber pole. The hula hoop is rotating from the inside to the outside only. It’s rolling. The hula hoop is NOT rotating------Only the stripe on the hula hoop is rotating.

A rolling, twisted, rotating line of charge,(only the stripe) gives us a cosmos. It’s the only substance there is. And all fields, properties, dimensions and time come from this structure.

If we nail down one end of a string, stretch the string, and then rotate the cross section of that string, 1 turn, That one twist will be spread evenly all down the length of that line. 1 twist.

The line will shorten and it’s density will increase. Surface area and volume will decrease.

If we replace that string with a line of charge, that twist will cause a loop to form, all down along it’s length. A small loop. Not a touching twist like string. The charge is self repulsive.

All electric fields are self repulsive. This self repulsive force is the prime driver, the primordial force in this cosmos. The force of all motion.

SO, a twist causes a small loop, spread out all along the length. A very skinny one turn helix. The charge line is self repulsive and can not touch itself------ out of alignment. One full twist or one full loop I should say, lines up the ends of the charge back into alignment so they can touch and close. Only one full turn can be added or subtracted from a multi-turn loop. An integer characteristic. Part of the quantum component.

This is why the twist was transferred into a stripe. In my description.

This loop also give relative length, and density to the line. BUT, this structure also has and maintains the absolute length(and surface) of the charge. The absolute amount. And the absolute amount of field from that length/surface. e.

The self repulsiveness of charge is what powers the perpetual motion of the charge.

A charge is always in a state of explosion. The explosion volume is frozen with rotation. Different sets of rotations give the charge different volumes sizes, densities(energies)….. and rotational speeds.

Particles change their sizes at great multitudes on the atomic scales. We see nothing like this in our existence scale. Large fast expansions and large fast contractions in size and volume and spin.

It would be like watching a golf ball changing into a beach ball in an instant manner. Actually more like a 2 inch diameter ring(hula hoop) changing into a 100 inch ring instantly. That would be an electron. Protons are much smaller, faster and denser rings. Many more turns of the same length. But protons can occupy the same sizes as electrons…. And… electrons can be just as small as protons. This is anti-matter. That’s what atomic/particle dynamics are like. Not to mention the span of the spins. Huge rotational harmonics. And then there’s the wobble. That’s the other component of the quantum spectrum. The closed wobble is the true quantum energy dynamic.
