superluminal/extra universal gravity

todays Scientific American has interesting information, it's not right<br />in front of me, but some think that the expansion bang could be a <br />result of forces from the rest of the universe, beyond the observable universe<br />or something like that.<br /><br />is that easy to understand and agree? I would think that if there's a<br />lot of mass surrounding the sphere of our observable universe that we would<br />be able to notice slight differences in the amount of extra-universal pull<br />depending on which way we aim our observation, <br /><br />wouldn't the amount of pull from each different possible point differ somewhat<br />due to the fact that matter is not probably at every single possible point outside<br />of the observable universe? And if there is that much pull from out there,<br />wouldn't it be affecting everything? like solar systems woulndt form? or galaxies or anything? <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>
