I agree, Prequel III was the only prequel worth watching. But that's only because it came full circle back to the origin of Darth Vader. Lucas never had any detailed, 'backstory'.

If he had had a real backstory, it would not have taken 16 years for "Phantom" to hit the screens. Time is money, and 'epics', like Homer's Illiad and Odyssey", start in the middle, with not necessarilly a complete and detailed backstory. Star Wars, Episode IV, started in the middle, like a classical epic.

And let's face it: The story, or scriptwriting, as well as the direction AND acting, of Episodes I and II, are laughable at best, horrible at worst!
