Perhaps 15% of the stars have more energy output than our sun. Perhaps one star in a billion has 100 plus times as much energy as our sun.
About 85% have less energy output, perhaps 10% less than 0.1% as much output. Neil

I would like to know why scientists are blind to the truth? like why are they soo dumb that they could not figure out that the Sun is the center of the universe.. as is every sun. They couldnt figure out that the SUN is compleatly empty in the middle. And at the same time this is what is generating all of its energy. WHY couldnt the scientist be smart enough to understand that sun spots are black because that is where u can see directly at its center. they are black!! compleatly void of all light.. hmm i know of something else in the universe that does that!! a black hole! every action has an equal and opposite reaction. this quantum physics stuff is soo ez.. even a caveman can do it !!

Wow... you give it a P, and less than six minutes later the thread magically moves to Phenomena.

I think it's poltergeists!
Just tell the truth and let the chips fall...

On a tangentially related (sort of) note, there is an interesting effect known as the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

This post is scientific claptrap.

I disagree. Yes, I'm wondering if the Phenomena forum should be re-named the "Dunning-Kruger Effect" forum actually.

-----------------------------------------------------

Lady Nancy Astor: "Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea."
Churchill: "Nancy, if you were my wife, I'd drink it."

Website / forums

Here you are slamming scientists as dumb yet you say you know of something in the Universe called black holes. How is it you know about black holes? If your smarter than the scientists as this post implies...put up some evidence for your claims.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. Those who make it happen, those who watch it happen...and those who do not know what happened.
