THEO007 Solar Observations

Make an observation today at 12:45 pm GREECE time.

I DISAPPOINTED.

The solar disk in not good. Very weak. Seams like a tired machine. Haven`t fuel.

The chromospheric network exhausted. GRANULATION nothing. And the CaK line didh`t something good for the future.

Make a sketch today in laptop from what i see in two observed hours. Try very hard to make best observation.

What i see. Only three small Q.R.FILAMENTS and some to small prominences.

That`s all.

Very bad observed day under medium seeing.

The energy of the Sun is produced in the core, about 50,000 kilometers below the surface that we see = the photosphere. Most of the energy takes about 50,000 years to make that 50,000 kilometer trip. The Sun likely won't be short of fuel for the next 5 billion years. Granulation and CaK line likely are not an indication of a healthy network. Neil

12/8/2009 - BETTER THINKS TODAY

TRULLY BAD SEEING TODAY in ATHENS but i see my great love again.

Better news today from yesterday.

In CaK line today i see two small chromospheric faculaes in the center of the disk. I see them very well under very bad seeing with light clouds and mist.

On surface 3 areas with Q.R.FILAMENTS. One of them looks like a hacksaw.

The limb area has good phainomena. Too much spicules and three area prominences.
One area of them has a beautiful prom with a small loop.

The images is bad but i put them to give you an idea for today phainomena up there.

Please post each day's new observation in that thread rather than starting a new one each day.

WWWWWWWooooooooWWWWWWW. Good seeing today guys. And i saw the solar disk very well.

So i sketch him on paper first and next to the laptop. So you take the sketch from laptop.

I sketch exactly what i see.

So 3 Q.R.Filaments and enough prominences scattering around the solar limb.

So look what i see before one hour ago.

ABSOLUTE QUIET.

ABSOLUTE NOTHING.

The only phainomeno in surface is a FILAMENT. NOTHING ELSE.

So i`m going to sleep for a week.

17/8 - SOLAR OBSERVATION

Observation today after three days.

The disk is a little better but remain with low activity.

Three areas of small prominences today on the limb . The one SW area had 3 detached prominences in great schema.
The other areas had smaller proms than the SW area.

On surface i see two small plages at the center of the disk. One quiscent filament only on NW.

Patience. The solar cycle will start again eventually. It is not an exact clock. There have been no sunspots for over two weeks. But it will start gain before the year is out.

18/8 - TOO MUCH SMALL PROMINENCES TODAY

The seeing very bad here but the solar disk remain in low activity.

The main event today is the quantity of prominences. Too much but too small. I count 13 small proms today. Nothing special about schema.

The surface has two plages at SW small with medium power and one more up of them with a parallel A.R.FILAMENT.

We have two Q.R.FILAMENTS at W.

For an object you study so closely (which I admire) you apparently have made very little effort to understand the physics of what you are studying.

I can`t listen physics and solar proffesionals as you say buddy.

All is fault until now for the new solar cycle 24. Ever and ever says and always makes mistake.

So i prefer to stay silly almost listen all them.

Sun with light mist and strong air today in athens guys.

The disk remain very low and today. The only phainomena is ......

2 detached prominences at SE and NW.

1 Q.R.FILAMENT close at S.
