Not on APOD, but I thought I would throw this in.
A 75 KM wide, 3,400 metre tall shield volcano, with a 25 KM wide heart shaped caldera, just inside the south west boundary of the Caloris Basin on Mercury, imaged by MESSENGER in January 2008.
