All well and good with this ambitious program, but sentiments about building a space station and missions to the moon are jumping the gun a tad, when ISRO has yet to launch astronauts into low earth orbit and is relying 100% on Roscosmos to train Indian candidate - three at this time - astronauts in the Russian Federation.

As someone wise said " a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step." When JFK talked about putting a man on the moon, it might have sounded like like a pipe dream. Let's not scoff at those who dream, who aspire to do more than seems possible today.

We all remember the famous Rice University lecture by President Kennedy ...

In India too we had our President Kalam; who inspired team ISRO take that giant leap; hence the Indians never looked back after reaching the moon; becoming the 1st ever nation to reach Mars in their maiden attempt. While during the 1st lunar mission; India invited 6-payloads out of the 11-they carried. They never looked back; by building 5-for the Mars, 11 and 13 for the lunar 2,3 missions and 7-for Sun. The present launch; though taking a huge leap in docking; the other 24-experiments carried on the used portion 4th rocket stage is another master stroke by Indian frugal engineering.
