Power came back yesterday. Cable came up a little bit ago. Water is still questionable.

House lost some shingles. Lost all of our fencing, many trees...

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

I knew you were planning to evacuate, but when you weren't back by the weekend I began to wonder if you had made it out at all.

When I checked my base email earlier, there was an email talking about discovery of UXO uncovered by Ivan.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

Here is the Santa Rosa county site:

http://www.co.santa-rosa.fl.us/

There are pics there, and pointers to a lot of other pics from the Pensacola News Journal...

Looks like Pickens got inundated.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

They just said UXO....

There are some townhouses just about where 87 meets into 98. They got hammered.

Its spotty like that. A goodly fraction of the damage suggests short lived tornados...

Wayne

We are still under 7 to 7 curfew.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher

The other day, we talked to some of the power folks working on a pole in front of our hourse - after I offered them water and food to be sure...they volunteered that they had been down south for the other storms, and the damage here was even worse. The worst they had ever seen.

Tuesday night, as we were heading East on I-10 - we counted over 300 utility trucks headed *west* - into the storm. That'll bring a tear to your eye, let me tell you.

Wayne

"1) Give no quarter; 2) Take no prisoners; 3) Sink everything." Admiral Jackie Fisher
