I have only seen a few clips from it, so am not endorsing it totally. Also, this is very controversial, and apologies to those offended.

The one Werner Von Braun made for Hitler to keep the fledgling rocket program on track during WW II.

Imagine subsequent history without this film.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

Not sure if it is available and it is dated as heck but PBS's spaceflight was a very good documentry esp. comming so soon afer challenger(in fact it was in late production at the time and they had to add a episode(or a scence not sure) to mention it)

BBC's "The planets" is excellent

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

I'll second "from the Earth to the Moon." The use of actors to recreate history may bother some purists, but I found it to be thoughtful, accurate, and entertaining.

However, note the actor who portrays "Buffalo Bill" in The Silence of the Lambs also winds up as Neil Armstrong in this series. Its an interesting juxtaposition.

FtEttM is indeed truely excellent, although it is historical drama rather than documentary.

The IMAX series are also very good.

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

Either Nat Geo or Discovery have been playing Rocket Men Of Mission 105 here a few times over the past few days. I've re-watched it every time it's been on and I've been about, 'cause I'm a space-geek like that. Scott Horowitz has an easy-going manner about him that makes him instantly likeable.

A bit of trivia I noted while taking another look last night; Jim Kelly was Cap Com for the landing on that mission.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

Prize for the most persistant promotion of documentary footage goes to NASA TV and their STS-114 crew bios. I realise it is middle of the night in the US when I get home from work each evening, but they really need to schedule some variety into those time slots.

I can recite every crew member's thoughts on the '114 mission like some bad experience with Rocky Horror. If for no other reason, Discovery has to get off the ground mid-July so I can hear something different from the '121 crew.

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!
