Oooh, so many good choices! But for launch.....

Bach's "Tocatta & Fugue in D Minor" has a great punch to it, and the wonderfully interwoven threads of music would be great for distraction from any discomfort.

From the less dramatic side of the spectrum, I've always found relaxation from Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata".

For some dramatic rock and roll, I like the suggestion of "Princes of the Universe" above. Apropos, in a strange way.

But the one that really is coming up in my mind right now is a Jean Michel Jarre number called "Hey, Gagarin". Yes, it's about that Gagarin, so it's fitting. It's also got a very driving beat that could work well for a launch.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
