Will I actually see the nebula in colors when looking through a telescope like I see in photographs?

No, not really. Very large telescopes will render the green shades, but only because you have more green rods in you eyes. Most nebula give off hydrogen alpha which the eye doesn't pick up well. You will see most nebula as a grey fog. A good nebula for color ( green ) is the Ring Nebula.

Clear Skies
Bill

In a very large reflector (22 inch) on a very clear, cold and transparent night, I did see subtle shades of blue, green, and purple in the Orion Nebula. It was a once in a lifetime experience

Those photos are time exposure photos, where light is collected on the film over the course of minutes, brightening the image. The human eye does not function that way, and in fact, Deep Sky Objects are so faint, that the light in the Eyepiece will not activate the color receptors in the human eye, so you will see them as gray.
