(edited, see below)

Hi folks. We got one bite, but I think we had poor bait.

Not a very glamorous job description.

I'm putting together the content for the ACCESS website and structuring the organization at the same time. So it's not surprising that the job description has changed. In fact, it's two jobs now.

We're not trying to gain a huge following of the general public in the first six months. What we need to do is reach out to all the space groups out there - all of them - and tell them what we're up to. As we reach out to other groups, we will get volunteers.

But we need someone to keep track of all that contact and keep us organized and professional. Actually, what we need is an Liason. Add an Liason's Aide (um is there a word for that?) and we're set.

These would be two of the rare positions that we might transition to full time paid positions. Hard to say, no promises, but that would be the goal. You could work your way into a real job in the best case scenario.

I just want to give the folks here the first crack at helping us out, a chance at becoming a co-founder of an open source space program. I know the culture here pretty well, so would be surprised if the skepticism has been overcome. But there may be a couple lurkers out there . . .

Anyway, I'll be back with more detailed job descriptions. It might be a couple days though, lots to do.

If anybody likes the idea of being an unpaid Liason of ACCESS and would like to represent us to the broadest possible space community, please PM me or grooble here of your interest.

You would mostly just be sending e-mails out and establishing friendly relations. Get contact names and numbers, provide information, just tell them what we're up to. If you don't have an Aide, you would need to perform those duties as well.

The Aide position is open even if we don't have an Liason.
