Fun quiz from nerdtests.com: The Trekkie Test

My score:
trekkiness: 77
This means you're: Ensign

What does it mean?

You're either new to Star Trek, or you aren't a die hard fan. You watch it, but you don't retain episode titles or character's middle names. You see Star Trek as entertainment, to be enjoyed and then go on with your regular life.
That sounds about right. I was a fan of TNG and watched every episode (twice). I also liked DS9 a lot. Some episodes of Voyager were very good, but sadly there were also quite a few nearly unbearable ones too. I've yet to watch a single episode of Enterprise.

You know you're in trouble when you look at the title and say to yourself. "It's TREKKER, not TREKKIE"

Hah,

I scored a 135!!! Only 19% of the takers scored better. But I do have a question, what WAS 47???? I inserted LOL, but did not know if it meant anything.

Also, knowing your Hitchhikers Guide did pay off in this test too.

As to Trekers, I have a nephew who does take GREAT offense at being called a trekie, and not a Treker. He is more serious about his craft then those would be hacks. But he also has other problems as well, but still is a good kid(?). He's now 25 and a long haul trucker, where does the time go!!!

Yevaud,

Now that was quick! You seem to make a very good moderator, but you must not have much else to do.

The deft. from Wikpedia was a delight to read. I especially liked the first deft., a number to follow 46, and thought that that was an answer worthy of the mice in Hitchiker. And then I found out it WAS adjusted for inflation, and it all fell into place.

What WAS interesting was the number of times and ways it has been used. It reminded me of the three tones, (or was it four tones), used in the Close Encounters Movie, which were the very same tones used by James Bond in some of his movies. And they both had to do with space ships as I recall. He was looking to get on that ship where Jaws was, I think. I found that odd as well. But it is a good tie-in, and already used and ready to go I guess.

With so many commanders on one thread -- is that anything like having too many cooks in the kitchen? Or too many chiefs and not enough Indians?

Anyhow... I'm a commander, too. Score: 124.

And here's the explanatory blurb from the site as to what it means: You know Trek, and you love it. You may not dress up in uniform every day, but you're dedicated to your series, or two, and happy with being entertained by it.

And that's pretty much spot on.

Just tell the truth and let the chips fall...

There are other nerd tests, too, at the site. I kinda liked the one that led to my earning this badge:

Just tell the truth and let the chips fall...
