In that case I hope she's a hermit - we all "disrupt the natural balance" in some way or another just through our everyday actions. I predict - Out of chaos comes order.

NASA likes to waste money anyways, just pay her. NASA wants to learn how to counter act a meteor encounter, ok that's a good one... What if you can't see what's coming???

Why don't they just chuck a large copper ball at her?

I wish I could remember
But my selective memory
Won't let me - Mark Oliver Everett

Yeah, I read about that. Wonder if we should counter sue, because she's interrupting the course of human evolution, (as well as general principles that she's a bonehead) to reach for the stars....

Rae

I can hardly wait to pursue my plans to sue NASA over wrecking Mars. All those rocks they RATed were special to me. So was that dune that Opportunity brazenly plowed through! How dare they upset the perfect natural balance of the cosmos?

I plan to ask for $100 million per incident. And I won't even have jurisdiction problems!

Anybody else want to get in on it? We'll make it a class-action maneuver.

And now that I'm thinking about it, I can't believe they so carelessly stabbed the moon with their flag, either. The moon is important to me, because it was orbiting the earth the VERY DAY I was born! Of course, they stabbed it before I was born, which means my life has been completely bereft of an unmutilated moon. That's gotta be worth something.

If astrology says the course of the stars and planets influences human events then they were responsible for the plan destroy part of the comet.

Ms Bai seeks a ruling that will restrict NASA in its plans to annihilate a section of the Tempel 1 comet, in a project that has been dubbed Deep Impact, as well as punitive damages of $US300 million.

If the suit could somehow stops NASA from completing the mission, what exactly would be the "punitive damages" she's looking for?

The lawyer says Tempel 1 has sentimental value to Ms Bai because her grandparents met when her grandfather pointed the comet out to his future wife.

So it's okay to destroy other comets I guess.
