Astronomers keep finding mysterious circular rings in the sky and don't know how to explain them

Discovery of a new extragalactic circular radio source with ASKAP: ORC J0102-2450, https://arxiv.org/abs/2104.13055, 27-April-2021. "We present the discovery of another Odd Radio Circle (ORC) with the Australian Square Kilometre Array Pathfinder (ASKAP) at 944 MHz. The observed radio ring, ORC J0102-2450, has a diameter of ~70 arcsec or 300 kpc, if associated with the central elliptical galaxy DES J010224.33-245039.5 (z ~ 0.27)..."

My observation. Cosmology Calculator II, https://ned.ipac.caltech.edu/help/cosmology_calc.html reports this for z = 0.27. "Age of the universe: 10.5603 Gyr, which is 77% of the age of the universe today. Lookback time: 3.217 Gyr."

So light-time is close to 3.2 billion years distance in the BB model interpretation of the redshift obtained. The distance used in this record is based upon diameter 70 arcsecond and distance near 875E+6 pc or about 2.9E+9 light-years distance.

Interesting report on ORC.
