We need to stop calling these passengers "astronauts." They barely touch "space," never leaving Texas airspace. 11 minutes up and back down total elapsed time. No piloting of the craft. It's a rich person's ultimate rollercoaster ride, nothing more.

I heartily agree. And I think most if not all the seats are freebies or perks - bezos gets a tax writeoff and lots of goodwill/pr/browniepoints/quidproquo.
