Cool, thanks for the links and info.

My borrowed quote for the time being:

There are three kinds of people in life. Those who make it happen, those who watch it happen...and those who do not know what happened.

You gotta love those Orwellian subtitles on those video clips:

"Mutual development and peacefull utilization of space is one of CAST's permanent themes"

"Equality, Mutual Benefit, Credibility, Service"

"War is Peace"

"Freedom is Slavery"

"Ignorance is Strength"

Changing the subject a bit, I don't know why they call it the Chinese space program because with the ammount of revenue that the Chinese government gets from American consumers the Chinese space program is funded just as much by Americans as NASA is.

So, again we are defeated. This victory belongs to the farmers, not us.

-Kambei Shimada from the movie Seven Samurai

Please keep politics out of this thread.

Jon

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

Cool, thanks for the link, Ragnorak! I've been very interested to see more of China's manned space program. I must confess to some skepticism that they'll actually be landing on the moon soon, but I'd love to be surprised in this area.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
