With all the great images coming in from around the world, I was aching to catch McNaught from downtown Chicago. Tuesday, the 9th of January saw the clouds part and I was amazed at this surprise comet.

A classic fan-tail and quite bright...even under mucky light polluted Chicago skies. I was able to take several images and a full narrative and images can be found at the Chicago Astronomer:

http://tinyurl.com/yx69x4

Respectfully,

Chicago Astronomer Joe
Administrator
www.chicagoastronomer.com

I cannot approve this image. The appropriate size for an image to be displayed here is no more than about 575 * 575 pixels, else it vastly exceeds to frame size.

I am disapproving the image. Please resize it (500 * 500 is a good size, I have found), and repost it.

Thank you.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."
