Coring of the Moon

Microscopic diamonds are common in meteorites.

As for gold and diamond asteroids, if we core to the center, using alchemy we can convert the whole asteroid to whatever we want. Good ol' 16th century science!

Any help in locating the correct acid to be used to assist the drilling process as well as drill head material that would be resistant
to the acid used would be appreciated.

It seems to me that perhaps the only acid suitable for this project has already been consumed by you.
