It's not copies of copies so much as accumulated damage & mutation from environmental factors. Each time the cells divide those get passed down and more get added until you die. <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

But this mass is also very small and undetectable compared to the actual mass of earth 6x10²⁴Kg. <br /><br />It will take almost 1billion billion years to double the mass of the earth. I think most of that energy is re-radiated as the earth is in thermal equilibrium with the sun.
