Did you know that Krikalev received the "Hero of Russia" (formerly known as Hero of the Soviet Union, see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hero_of_the_Russian_Federation) order? <br /><br />He was awarded of the title of the Hero of the Soviet Union, the Order of Lenin, the Officier de la Légion d’Honneur and the NASA Space Flight Medal.<br /><br />In 1985 he was selected as a cosmonaut for the Buran Program!<br /><br />http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergey_Krikalev
