I was reading these recent replies on this thread and suddenly had a hilarious vision of Michael Jackson singing "It don't matter if your black or white," while being attacked by a Dalek's negativising weapon!

I expect they will start to show some re-runs to build up interest before they start to screen the new series.
"All God does is watch us and kill us when we get boring.
In reply to:

Question: Is Doctor Who shown on BBC-TV America?

Strangely, no. I think the reason is because they have a long history of selling broadcast rights to PBS stations in America, and they don't want to infringe upon that. (There may even be something exclusionary in the contracts that prevents them from putting it on BBC America.) Although KTCA in Minnesota stopped running it (gee, this kid's show is getting crappy ratings even though we ran it at the oh-so-useful time of 11:30PM on Saturday and 5AM on Sunday; we'd better cancel it), I know many other PBS stations across the US do still run it.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

I just thought I'd post this. It's not a picture of a Dalek, but a picture of the Doctor and his companion Rose walking through Cardiff. It's a sign of the times that they're walking by a quintessentially American restaurant.

"People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly . . . timey wimey . . . stuff." -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"
