<p> </p><p>I read in the paper today that the American people recognise "One Trillion" as being one million times one million. WHere the Brits recognise it as one million time one billion. </p><p>http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_trillion</p><p>It's to do with "Short scale countries" and "Long scale countries" and , obviously, the scale that they use.</p><p>I never new this!
