The magnetic attraction/repulsion is even less significant, but not zero.

That's so true and exactly my point.
My endpoint here, is that knowing that the E/M/V system is the most massive bodies in the inner system to come within 104 times lunar distance to each other, (Mars is less massive) Is to figure out, Is it coincidence that Venus always presents the same face to-wards E/M at closest opposition?
Or is it by mechanical measurable means that cause this to occur?
Knowing probabilities,
I am not very much a believer in coincidence ....
I believe in physics and measurable conclusions.
No matter how small or large the force is that is being measured.

When one drops an UN-impeded equal distance hammer and feather, upon the moon, the attraction is the same regardless of mass difference because the surface below both objects are accelerating equally upward toward each, at the exact same velocity.

The slow turning on it's axis should not be thought to be stability. The orbital speed of Venus is second only to Mercury.

Exactly ,

Why would I want to measure this minimal force? Between, M, V, E/M, M, J, S, U, N, P, Q, S, plus all recent new Kuiper or any other planetary body?
Same reason first human climbed Everest I suppose ...

It's a measurable force, no matter how huge or slight , It's there. I am curious , I can't fly... NASA can, and does....

My solution of certain knowing, would be to place a lightweight metal compass needle in the exact middle of the Earth, Moon, Venus, Mars vicinity at closest opposition.

Needs to roll out, (measure upon deployment) for the minimal measure of a kilometer. And the width of a cubit.
Okay then, lol I am not Noah!....
A meter then maybe two .... Not much difference between a meter and a cubit.. Laughing is wonderful... You are forgiven ...

A compass measures magnetic field. Not Gravity

Some more laughs?

It's around 2130, and technology has progressed to the point that heat dispersion, pressure and acidity content of the Venusian atmosphere are no longer detrimental to an astronaut in a space suit on the surface of this hot hostile retrograde world.
Venus has no known detectable magnetic field.

The astronaut stands there, ( on the Venus equator ) holding an Earth compass , orientating their self toward the south pivotal axis ... (Opposite Earths north pole)

The compass reads what ?

If Venus has no known magnetic field, how or will a Earth compass work ?
Perhaps my compass needle will need to made from Venus metal.

Now...

Facts perceive that Earths magnetic field is produced by the armature churning effect of the outer iron core turning around the heavier inner iron core.
Obviously the Moons gravity mass acceleration acts on the Earths outer inner core also.

Now ... Planet Venus.
Venusian inner core is ( suspected ) to be, mostly liquid molten iron. Let's examine the difference between the two worlds.

A hot molten iron core that rotates ever so slowly retrograde.
Whether there is an inner or outer iron core is debatable, But examine this pertinent question.

If Venus was totally locked to the suns gravity, it would always present the same face toward the sun, no matter where it is in its orbital eastward journey...
But Venus doesn't.
It rotates ever so slowly westward or retrograde from any other inner rocky world.

Its long total day and night takes slightly longer than its year.
But every, approximate eight Earth months or so, Venus and Earth are at closest opposition and Venus always has for eons, presented the exact same face toward Earth. Coincidence ?
There has to be a logical answer of ca

70 percent of novel proceeds www.trafford.com/06-1593 are donated to www.caringbridge.org

Something you forgot to take into account, which is why it is my thought something else is going on.

Yes, the earths rotational north pole points to the north star. NOT earths magnetic north pole. These are two different animals. I dont think magnetism has anything to do with this.

what I DO think is going on, is a gear effect. ill check my grav sim at home, and see if there is a reasonance going on, on a large scale. But think on this. Earth and venus may be stuck in a resonance with each other does the same face of earth face venus at opposition?

what I mean by a gear effect, is two gears next to eachother spin opposite directions. maybe venus WOULD be tidally locked with the sun if it wasnt for the earths gravity dragging it along at that one spot, forcing a retrograde revolution.

err just an interesting point out of playing with numbers, I need a more exact read of earth and venus orbital periods... but with the numbers I got, earths orbital around the sun seems to be real close to 1+pi/5 times that of venus

let me explain. pi is aboput 3.1415 so pi/5 is .6283 add one to get 1.6283

lets assume venus orbital is 224.31 days.. times 1.6283= about 365.25 days!

since closest opposition venus always has the same face towards earth, there HAS to be a resonance there.. earth:venus orbital periods seems to be 1:1+pi/5

coincidence? never when pi is concerned :/

ok got more exact numbers (I hope) correct me if Im wrong here.

venus orbital period is 224.701 earth days.
pi is 3.1416 (rounded)
1+pi/5=1.62832

a resonance of 1:1+pi/5 would have the earths orbital period being 365.885 earth days.

earths actual orbital period is 365.256 earth days, making the difference Only about 15 hours off of this strange resonance. that is only .18% off of resonance

Still close

EDIT

Ok technically, a resonance doesnt exist for anything but simple intagers. liek 3:2 5:3 ext, since at that point it becomes predictable.

Ah, You've grasped my point.

This gear like effect ( is either a attraction or repel force ) that is ever so subtle , yet obviously exchanged for those 15 hours that it is 18 percent out of resonance until the two are in total resonance.
So totally 30 hours would have passed until Venus and Earth/Moon had passed out of the magnetic resonance pulse or attraction.

15 hours would be the center (peak) of the wave force applied between the Earth, Venus and our Moon.
Like a slow pulse or attraction that occurs at the precise time when Venus and Earth are in opposition and the third equation of the Earths Moon is in the exact precise position, between the two near equal mass Planets.

Here's a peculiar fact about our Moon that may be relevant. Maybe even another clue.

When we look up at the Moons face that always faces the Earth, We see an almost perfect circular round Moon.

In fact when viewed from Earth it appears perfectly round.

But, If one could view the moon from a certain point in space, from a 90 degree angle (side on) , it would appear to be more egg shaped, with the tip ( side always away from Earth ) pointing outward toward the ecliptic.
And Yes, for a precises amount of time toward Venus.

That is when the Moon is exactly between Venus and Earth at closest opposition.
Coincidence? I don't think so.

I say there's a logical sound reason.

I also mention the fact that, the Moon and Earths poles are opposite in relation to each other.

Then there's little heavy Mercury,
Another very interesting aspect and very much part of the equation.
More on Mercury tomorrow....
First , I must read more Astronomy facts about Mercury ...
Little metal Mercury is rotating slowly eastward in it's wild orbit.

Mercury

Something

70 percent of novel proceeds www.trafford.com/06-1593 are donated to www.caringbridge.org

as promised, the pics from the grav sim.

first has venus in a rotating frame.
venus almost has a 5:3 resonance with mercury

next is earth in a rotating frame. Again, almost 5:3

finally, mars to finish off the group. As you can see it almost has a 4:3 resonance with earth, and a 3:2 to venus!

This tells me that the inner planets ALL affect each other gravitationally.

this has one very interesting possibility. The inner system will eventually settle into a 4:3:2:1 resonance with eachother. Hey tony, can you simulate this, or at least tell me if im off base or not?

pick is here http://www.tpon.net/space.JPG

Gee, it woul be nice if everyine who comments on these pages sit back and think about what they are writing. There are a series of questions and answers about the ability of an atomic clock to keep time at different altitudes, etc.

First of all an atomic clock is merely a tool. It is designed to count and that is all it does. Certain molecules vibrate at certain average speeds. Notice the word average. If the speed of the vibrations were always the same, the clock would keep time perfectly. All that is necessary is to know the speed of the vibrations per second, etc., and by counting the vibrations one can accurately determine accurately the elapsed time. However, the molecules are merely chemical combonations of elements that can be found on a table of elements. As pressure, heat and atmosphere affect the molecule being measured and the vibrations vary in reaction, the measurement likewise varies in proportion. If external forces cause the vibrations to speed up, the time it takes to count the set number of vibrations calibrated to the molecule's average vibrational speed also accelerates. Therefore it would appear that time has sped up and vise verse. Actually, the clock is just running faster; time itself has remained constant.

Unfortunately, too many laypersons read Einstein's 1905 paper and the following general theory to mean that time actually can speed up or slow down. Time is a constant; the term relativity means precisely what AE meant to call it. It is the measurement by mathamatical observation between one or more objects relative to the other. Basic mathematics is used in calculating observation while considering the special occurance (a specific moment in time). the general theory requires using calculus to determine the relative forces as they occur without stopping. At times AE wrote English a lost some meaning as he thought in German. Simultaneously, When writing in German, the translation into English often last some of its mean
