I recently was looking around and found pics of Orion capsule on the Lockheed site which I haven't seen before. Kind of disappointing. Even in a NASA video, we still hear the engines in a vacuum. <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" /> <div class="Discussion_UserSignature"> </div>

<Kind of disappointing. Even in a NASA video, we still hear the engines in a vacuum. ><br /><br />That made me think of an interesting way to present space flight in a dramatic fashion. You could show the interior of the crew module and the engine sounds the crew could hear, then cutaway to an exterior shot of the Ares I upper stage in vacuum blasting away silently.

Dragon puts the thrusters around the lower sides like that as well.
