Where to begin....

I could start with snide remarks about the last time I started talking like that was shortly after spine surgery and I was having hallaucinations from the pain medication.... But that's just not positive.

However, I do beleive that for most of the people on this board, what your saying sounds awefully close to just that...

From what I gather, you have some ideas that you are trying to put forward, but you don't have experimental, and most importantly reproducible results to back them up.

If I start spouting what sounds like jibberish to everybody else, but I have a working warp drive spacecraft to back things up and I can explain to other people how to build a warp drive spacecraft, then people will spend a lot of time trying to understand what I'm talking about.

You've got a chicken and egg problem.

What you need, something experimental and reproducible to back up what your saying. But you need assistance with the engineering to build the experiment to show that you know what your talking about. But nobody will give you that engineering assistance until you can prove that you know what your talking about.

What I'd suggest is that you explain your ideas by starting with generally accepted principles and show by logical steps how to extend those principles one at a time to get to what your talking about.

Also, in this case a list of definitions would be usefull, so that people understand what definitions you are using for the words that you are using.

If you must know, I have been in engineering environments since 1983, which gives me almost 23-years in the field, so where are you?

That's very odd, because in the recent past, you've stated that you're in your twenties, are a college student, and are studying something like history.

Hmm...

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

a better term for high pressure vaccum would be a low pressure high momentum storage device.

Nope, I am 38 and my birthday is tomorrow, which will make me 39-years old. I am currently self-employed and a full-time care provider for my two biological sons. My oldest son will turn 8-years-old next month and my youngest son just turned 2 in August. I now live in Forest Grove, Oregon. In fact, I just moved into my brand new house a little over one week ago. I hate moving! My name is Scott (aka Jatslo, as in Jatslo.com), and my last job was at Sequent Computer Systems, Inc., which was purchased by IBM (HAL) shortly after I left for personal reasons. I managed 95-million in engineering assets as a materials analyst, so lets just say that I am engineering savvy and be done with it.

I am going to college to apply those techniques to my business (BSB/B), and science is just a hobby. I want to start publishing work that is related to business and science, but not necessarily crossed linked. Currently, I am trying to figure some science things out before I get too involved in writing.

I am trying to make a rather large capacitor (anode; cathode); however, this capacitor will not only work as storage; it will also create its own energy until its capacity is full, and if I can't make it do that then I will drop a tether into the ether and extract electrons, so that I can generate a powerful shield that will allow me, in my vessel, to exceed (c), which is currently 186,000 miles per second.

[1] Ionize Helium II (He II + Electron?)
[2] Ionize Hydrogen (H II?; LH II? (Ionized liquid hydrogen?))
[3] What is the next element? Oxygen? (LO II + electron?) However, if I place oxygen in here will the hydrogen burn?

I have much work to do!

Anyway, I tried to inject Pure (He II) into the nucleus very dense iron chilled sphere (absolute zero chilled/several feet thick (20-tons?)) that was filled to capacity with liquid hydrogen (LH). Actually, I am playing around with multitudes of gasses, including and not limited to mercury.

Anyway, I am trying to create a chain reaction that will fuse the hydrogen to the iron, or essentially clog up the pores, so that the helium can’t escape as it expands. This is how I was planning to contain it, but I created the wrong kind of gravity, thus, destroying Earth in the process. My bad. Now I am back to an expandable vacuum bladder/balloon, I guess. So much for velocity: If I could infinitely expand helium, and release the pressure in a direct burst, then I will hopefully start thinking about velocity again.

Ah, that explains it.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

"I am trying to create a chain reaction that will fuse the hydrogen to the iron"

Now I see your error. Don't try to fuse iron, do the opposite. Iron fission can yield tremendous amounts of energy. I'm sure it works.Try it.

What happens when mixing (He II) with LH inside a 20-ton iron ball?

Metallic hydrogen will pug the holes in the iron and prevent the helium from escaping, duh. I thought we agreed you were going to be nice or a take a hike.

No need to snap at me, I'm just the messenger. The cosmic brothers told me to relay that data to you. They are waiting.

Oh brother, that's why I don't acept private messages. Here look at this: PDF; BE WARNED I want to inject Helium II into liquid hydrogen that is suspended in a 20-ton iron ball chilled to absolute zero.

What will happen?

You'll end up with some superfluid heilum mixed with liquid hydrogen. So what?

I want to inject Helium II into liquid hydrogen that is suspended in a 20-ton iron ball chilled to absolute zero.

What will happen?

For starters, Iron chilled to -473 K has the fragility of tissue paper. A pressure increase would probably shatter it like dropping a glass onto concrete.

Otherwise, probably nothing else would happen.

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

The cosmic brothers inquire how are you going to cool something down to absolute zero, and how does the hydrogen stay liquid in that temperature?

Otherwise they are content with your progress.

In reply to:

but I created the wrong kind of gravity, thus, destroying Earth in the process. My bad.

Well Jatslo, the last time I looked around, the earth is still here. I don't think you managed to destroy.

You'll have to try again.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste. I can time travel in my mind. I can create something; move forward in time to see the result, and if it is undesirable, I can travel back in time and erase what I did.

Thank goodness for time travel.
Mental time travel, that sound good! Now, lay back on a comfy sofa, that's right ... relax ... your eyelids begin to feel heavy ... so heavy ... too heavy to keep open ... yes let your eyes close ... now each breath takes you further back in time ... yes, good ... now ... travel to the point in time when you first began to feel all textbook physics are wrong ... tell us what happened ... the cosmic brothers want to know...

I never said textbook psychics are wrong. I am conditioned to sort through the facts, and assemble those facts together in logical order. My problem solving skills are legendary. Computations will fold space-time. If you want to open a psychology thread, I would suggest that you do. There are a great many people that would love to relieve the pressure of somatic tension, but you must understand that you do not have the answers that I seek. I must solve my own problems; of my own design.

I am beginning to think your cosmic brothers statement is a fallacy; therefore, I must now ask you to provide evidence to support your claim.

Whoops! I found the gates of HELL through (He II), and that is freaking me out; sending shivers down my spine. Maybe the world is better off not knowing.
