There is an alternative to time dilation -- length contraction.

The only objective evidence, however, that I've heard about is when length contraction takes place when a particle traveling very close to the speed of light flattens due to length contraction in order to explain all that is observed.

What is interesting is that one must chose which method to use when explaining events -- time dilation or length contraction, but never both.

DM is, reportedly, included in current BBT. No doubt DE is also. The earliest version of BBT (Lemaitre) included acceleration in the early period.
