There is an issue where IE 8 causes problems with the reply and posting box. When you get to the bottom of the box, funny stuff happens.
The fix is easy.
To the right of the address box with the URL in it is a button that has a piece of paper on it. Click on that, and voila! the problem is fixed. It's called compatibility view, and can also be accessed from the "Tools" menu dropdown box.
