I'm trying to find a quote I saw on the news

I saw this for a second on the TV at work. They were talking about the moon landing anniversary and I didn't get a chance to see who said it. It may have been a quote or in an interview but it was something like,

If you would have told somebody 100 years ago that man would reach the moon and then grow tired of it in 10 years, he would have called you crazy.

I really need this for a speech tomorrow, can someone help me out here?

It was in Charles Krauthammer's column this week, he attributed it to Michael Chrichton. You may have seen him on Fox news talking about it. Fortunately, Manny linked to the article in FreeSpace:
