Let me add my welcome to the others. It is great to have someone from India who can inject local insights and perspectives into discussions.

I agree with you India could do this but as yet has no reason to do.

regards

Jon

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of this forum, as I'm used to the sarcasm found on other forums on the Internet too. All I need to do is bring the Mars-first people over to my side (Venus cloudtops first) and it'll be perfect.

-----

http://mithridates.blogspot.com

Indeed. I think we're also both in agreement that the most important task is to first get to the point where the debate actually means something (i.e. where we actually have the capability to give serious thought to venturing that far out, and where to head to first).

-----

http://mithridates.blogspot.com

That's true. The longest journey begins with the first step

But the Krell forgot one thing John.
