Scifi channel moving away from scifi? gah. All they've managed to do is Alienate their base (no pun intended). I haven't watched the scifi channel in over a month because of the lousy shows... I'm so sick of all those movies.
Last thing i watched was a Battlestar marathon, the first four or so episodes. I never remember to watch the rest, though.

Purpose? who ever said there was a purpose? :p

In reality I think the lady was just not a sci-fi fan to begin with (why she took the job in the first place who knows) and the only way she can think of to generate more viewers is to get away from that icky complex sci-fi and move to something a little more base that the masses can grapple with.

or she is just an idiot with idiot advisors, I dont really know, and I can only speculate. Its not like there have not been Bad TV execs in the past who make lousy decisions. I suspect we are just living through one of those times.

I hope that it will be over soon and someone who knows how to do a proper sci-fi lineup will be hired.
