Is this how string theory connects quantom and relativity?

I've been reading more about quantom physics, and so far what I've picked up is that underneath all the particles and neutrinos, there exists a plane called Zero Point Field. This field contains a sea of particles that come into existence and then crash into and annihilate each other in an instant.

This field behaves like a sine wave that undulates from peak to base (did I say this right?). Where string theory comes in is that it too also states that at the smallets level there exist cosmic strings that vibrate. These vibrations are responcible for creating the positive or negative protons and electrons, and so on.

So basically, the connection between quantom physics and relativity is that the string theory vibrations could be compared to the undulations of the field in quantom physics. Thus, it allows for matter to be created, and for relativity to reconcile with quantom physics.

Am I correct in this assessment?
