This is no space junk the world needs to open there eyes because NASA is lieing."

I posted some common sense...

Are most people really so dumb?

Tragic isn't it? Here, in the first years of the 21st century, more than a dozen nations are cooperating to build the most massive structure in space to date. A space station that is already a thing of awe and beauty, that will be the brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon. And what we get is cerebral midgets yabbering about UFOs and NASA lying.

Jon

Whether we become a multi-planet species with unlimited horizons, or are forever confined to Earth will be decided in the twenty-first century amid the vast plains, rugged canyons and lofty mountains of Mars Arthur Clarke

Dont bothering trying to reason with the youtube replies, there all idiots who post on there who cant even spell

Out of interest, what was it that was seen on the video falling away from the ISS? Assuming its not aliens capturing the station

What i also find tragic is NASA with help from the rest of the world are building mans greatest achievement in the modern era. This massive structure is being built, in space!

But do we see it coverered on the news, do we hell. Nothing at all is reported about it (well certaining in the UK that is, not sure if its the same in the US?). I bet the average person on the street doesnt know what is currently being built right above their heads

Jon,
I don't think it will be brighter than Venus at it's best, though it could give Jupiter a tough battle.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. That's why I make such an effort to know when it will be visible and tell everyone I run into. (I'm well known as "that astronomy guy" from the beer store, to the corner deli, to the gas station.)

The more people that know about such things, the more support we might get for space.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. I loaded one of the high res images of the ISS as my computer wallpaper at work and got a couple of responses that it couldn't be the real thing because there were no stars in the background.

My response to that was the lack of stars had to do with relative brightness and the exposure time. Was I correct?
Bob DeWoody
