Right, they all have to be infinite, or they all have to be finite. You cannot mix them.

I had a typo in the initial "IT", and later retracted that statement, so I thought.

Wrong again.

To get a finite answer, they must all be finite.

To get an infinite answer, any single value can be infinite. They do not all have to be infinite. So to get an infinite answer you can mix them.

Now, throw in the fact that we observe (i.e. cannot agrue with, alter, or deny this fact, regardless of how distasteful it is) energy to be finite. And mass to be finite, and thus C must be finite.

and C is observed to be finite.

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

I swear, its like pulling teeth.

Right, any one of them can be infinite, to get get an infinte answer, but it is a false answer.

A true answer requires that all three are infinite.

Agreed?

Agreed?

Why? because the observed answer is not infinity!

Mass is not infinite.

The energy liberated in nuclear reactions, where mass is lost, but energy gained, is NOT INFINITE.

C cannot be infinite either, due to E=mc^2, and due to OBSERVATION.

Say it is infinite all you want, but you are wrong. I can set up several experiments that give the same finite speed for light to a very high accuracy and precision.

As such, any answer you get that says infinity is a wrong and false answer.

The bible says that humanity will be lead to the promised land, like sheep, and nobody ever said that the promised land is Earth. Those that do not follow will be reabsorbed into the fabric in space-time.

And I will answer, your infinity statement when I get more time.

---Jatslo

---Jatslo

wow, that diagram holds no content, especially as you don't explain anything!

--------------------SaiphMOD@gmail.com -------------------

"This is my Timey Wimey Detector. Goes "bing" when there's stuff. It also fries eggs at 30 paces, wether you want it to or not actually. I've learned to stay away from hens: It's not pretty when they blow" -- The Tenth Doctor, "Blink"

yes. But that doesn't explain your diagram.

I could put a basketball and a baseball in there and it would make just as much (or rather little) sense.

I have used these types of objects to describe things before. That is, when I do have anything that resembles planets and stars available, and I'm sure you have done something of the sort on occasion as well.

---Jatslo

Saiph, you have helped me more than anyone, and I want you to know that I appreciate you, most of all.

Thanx for the time!

jatslo - In your asking how much time is left, did you mean how long before the merger of Milky Way and Andromeda?

And what is IT that you seem to be saying we will also have a merger with?

On the promised land, greater fulfillment, yes earth is included:

"The meek shall inherit the earth" - Matthew 5:5 quoting Psalms 37:11.

That Psalm also states:

(Psalm 37:29) ". . .The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it."

Concerning infinity, I might add that there are greater and lesser degrees of infinity.

For example, our universe will exist an infinity of future time, but it has not existed an infinity of past time.

God has always existed - that is an infinitely longer time than the infinity of time our universe will exist.

That would be because it is infinite both in past and future. That would be infinite to a greater degree, unbounded in both directions in contrast to infinities that are unbounded in only one direction.

Consider also if we learn forever at a certain rate, but God learns forever at a faster rate - again the two degrees of infinite future knowledge are infinite, but the one infinity would still be greater than the other infinity, and there would be a third infinity that would describe the first infinity subtracted from the second infinity.

Do you understand?

Note also that some infinities are time dependent - i.e. they are only infinite when infinite future time is factored in. The size of our universe is an example. Now it is of finite size - and at any specific future point in time it will have a finite size.

But factor in infinite future time plus infinite future expansion and you get infinite future size - but that infinity is time dependent.

I just had an epiphany and I have to share this enlightenment with all.

Slo is a prophet. The IT he's referring to is I.T. We're all going to merge with Information Technology! The fabric of space-time we're all going to be absorbed into is really the paper the schematics of new and complex circuits are going to be written on! The promised land he's talking about is Silicon Valley! Pilgrimage, ho!!! While there is still time!

“IT” is bound to one point in space-time, and everything is infinitely linked to “IT”, and “IT” is infinitely linked to us, but we do not have to return to “IT”. We can stop “IT” from absorbing us by speeding up so that “IT” slows down; however, “IT” will always be infinitely linked to us, and we will always be infinitely linked to “IT”, for “IT” is life and “IT” is death, we choose life immortal in a promised land, free from “IT” for all eternity.

---Jatslo
It may be that we live life immortal inside a computer. Have you ever seen the movie “The Matrix"? IT is both science fiction, and theoretically possible, right?

---Jatslo
I found out early in my life that mathematics, science, and art represent my strengths, as opposed to my weaknesses. Science fiction has inspired me to think about probability, and this inspiration drives me to make connections through research. Typically, I break time into past, present, and future, and this would explain my strengths in history as well. For example, I can resurrect the past through documentation, I can analyze the present through news, and I can analyze the future through theoretic interpretations of individuals. Most of the calculations that I perform are executed primarily as thought, and I very rarely write down my thoughts, because it is difficult and time consuming to organize. To refer to me as simply a thinker would be a huge under-statement. My thought processes, with respect to “thinkers”, are way above average, and people have frequently referred to my visions as madness, insane, and false logic. I, on the other hand, consider “Crazy” a complement, because I know that the craziest ideas might very well lead to breakthroughs of biblical proportions.

There was a time when the Internet sounded crazy, but look at how the world is changing towards the “good” because of some crazy idea. Yes, “Evil” can utilize the Internet too. For example, terrorists, pedophiles, and thieves utilize the Internet. Albert Einstein was once thought to be a “Mad Hatter”, and from what I understand, Einstein may have undergone psychiatric evaluations sometime in his youth. It’s madness, I say, madness! When I think back, and try to place a finger on the one thing that inspired me to think the way I do, I often remember the time when my friends and me were playing around with a compass. I vividly remember debating them about how it could be that a compass points north, but I do not remember how I knew that a compass worked in the manner that it worked. Something else must have triggered my desire in science. I am always observing things around me, not jus

Statistics is a subdivision of mathematics, not science.

Statistical analysis and probability are used in any number of fields including science and business - to help explain empirical [observed] phenomena or evidence. You can take a sampling of observations, perform statistical analysis using probabilities [for instance] and draw general conclusions, rather than having to quantify each and every observation.
