From what I have seen with my untrained eye; The Large Megallanic Cloud (LMC), (excuse my poor terms), spit the Small Magellanic cloud (SMC) out and it's cooling into a small system. This other arm would do the same except it is tangling with the Milky Way. <br />What affects does this new forming, Micro Magellanic Cloud (MMC), will have on our part of the Milky Way system? It seems to be merging either with our disk or just a bit above it. Along with resident gases escaping past the clusters. One more question, Will these gases envelope our part of the solar system and more to the point the Earth?
