Launch visibility

Hey Everyone !!!

When the shuttle lauches, about how far out will the light from the SRBs and main engines be visible? I'm in upstate SC and I do know that we were in the area of visibility when Discovery (STS-119) launched last year, but that was well after dark. (And I didn't get to see it anyway ...) Also, what path will the shuttle take? Will it go up the eastern seaboard as Discovery did?

All remaining scheduled shuttle missions are to the ISS, so take the same path at a 51.6 degree inclination up along the east coast (pretty much paralell to the coast south of Cape Hatteras).

It will be daylight, so I don't expect you will be able to see anything, but since I live in NJ, that is just speculation on my part.
