Some are "Launch Complex", others are "Space Launch Complex". Why has this happened? When did this happen? Will they all be named the same way in the future? This post is all I can find on the subject. Personally, I like "SLC" because it can be pronounced "Slick", but it is a little redundant. Which do you prefer?
