Any company that succeeds in developing anti-gravity/gravity shielding is going to become unbelievably wealthy. There are potentiall no limits to a device that negates gravity - it's not just aerospace uses. Dr. Podkletnov is one of the few who applied science to this issue, and he has made apparent headway. Many inventors & hackers have tried to replicate his work, good for the big corporations (and militaries) to also attempt it.

Josh

We need a first generation of pioneers.

Interesting story. It's a few years old, but still... I wonder how far they've gotten since then.

You know what else I was thinking? I seem to recall being taught that gravity is just a localized curve in the fabric of space-time created by the presence of mass. So if you reduce or alter gravity, you are in fact changing that part of space and time. This raises interesting implications for space travel-- or time travel, no?

Or am I totally off-base?

I suppose it is a relief in this case a business ponied up the cash instead of the government.

Although in the military-industrial complex, one can never be sure.

TPTB went to Dallas and all I got was Plucked !!

So many people, so few recipes !!

Let's clean up this stinkhole !!

NASA has been studying this anomaly as part of their "Advance Propulsion Concepts" program for several years now. As far as I know they have not been able to duplicate Podklenov's results with any consistency. Then again if the effect is real the implications for national security and economics would be as or more immense than breaking the sound barrier or nuclear energy--two past projects that were intentionally kept under wraps for years before going public.

I wonder if that is short for 'Project Grasping At Straws'?

Who is this superhero? Henry, the mild-mannered janitor ... could be!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bring Back The Black!

The experiment referenced in the initial post is piecemeal, and not complete by any means; the fact that they are utilizing microwave beams just goes to show that the experiment failed to self-sustain.
