I am looking for a 50s or 60s movie which had some kind of brain sucking monsters in it which wrapped a tail around the victim and stuck two tenticals into their brain to control them. They were invisable to the naked eye. Anyone out there remember this movie?

Yeah, I do remember it.
Not the name of couse, since they sucked my brains out.

Check out the pre 80's sci-fi movie thread, I think it was mentioned somewhere in there, here's a link to that thread .

But the Krell forgot one thing John. This post reminds me of a probably "B" grade movie that I saw as a kid and cannot remember much of it but the end.

People are on a island with a radio tower and start to disappear. Others swear they hear the departed ones voices calling them to a cave or something.

In the end it is a giant crab-like creature who has eaten the people and been able to mimic their voices to draw others to him, or some such nonsense. The remaining heros use the power (or juice) from the radio tower to fry the crab and keep their life.

For the life of me I seem to think Vincent Price was the voice of the crab! Any takers?

I wonder if it was a 1956 Episode of "Science Fiction Theatre" called "Operation Flypaper?"

I vaguely recall what you are describing, and this was the closest match I found in Vincent Price's cv.

But the Krell forgot one thing John. Probably to remain consistant, he's using a coconut as his "parts."

Differential Diagnosis: "I am both amused and annoyed that you think I should be less stubborn than you are."

Now, that sounds like it. Thanks, it has always been in the back of my mind, that one.

Would you know who was the one who did the mutant crab's voice? Like I said, it always seemed to me to be Vincent Price, but I can not be certain.

Would most movie stores have that movie collection you mentioned? But thanks again. Henry

It is strange the things your mind seems to remember from those yesterdays when things seemed much simpler. Like the monster from the movie,"Tingler", that came out of the deaf woman's silent scream, or the crab, or other such things like "Dr. Cyclops" island lab when he shrunk that pony to pint size. Those were the days, weren't they.
