NASA needs a new telescope, ASAP, to find Earth's twin

OK so we find Earth's "twin"; how do we get from here to there in a life span's acceptable amount of time given our technology and energy resources? (Even with time dilation, and would such a journey have to be one-way only). IMO. Perhaps the taxpayer funds for shinny new space telescopes should be diverted to ways of making Earth's resources last for humans for another undetermined number years until we have better technology, evolve, or face the eventual random extinction that awaits all of Earth's species.
