Gee, I didn't know NORAD radars could detect an object at 6,483,000,000 km!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_EL61

I'm glad NORAD's going to try radar, though. I never thought of that. Maybe they'll find more reindeer:

http://www.gps.caltech.edu/~mbrown/2003EL61/

Santa and his team should be warming up right about now. Everythings ready - radar set warmed up, guns cocked, missiles fueled...and I predict they'll have about as much success as last time. They just can't find this guy illegally crossing borders.

Personally, I don't think he theatens MY security. In spite of the enormous energies involved, his sleigh has NEVER brought down ANY building. I very seriously doubt if he has harmed a hair on the head of a single American.

In fact, I'm beginning to wonder if that other fellow, you know, the tall guy with the sexy guitar playing niece, ever actually existed at all! Witnesses can be bribed, you know...dictators are always seizing power by claiming bogus threats against their nation...radars are picking up UFO's all the time and they alway turn out to be bogus.

So relax this Christmas. Whoever you see streaking through the skies or hear sneaking around the living room in the middle of the night is surely a member of your very own religious tradition!
