North America is 'dripping' down into Earth's mantle, scientists discover

I’m gonna guess the best seismic instruments, software and analysis are from the fossil energy companies. I could be wrong. Their analysis is shallow. This article is much deeper stuff.

But these companies always do a test bore hole to verify the analysis.

We can’t verify very deep of what is really there. At this time. Our earth’s innards are still unknown.

I believe we have more high pressure super heated water in our crust, then all the other water combined. A super heated water saturated crust.

The most PERFECT energy source for thousands of years. No ignition necessary. No fuel necessity. And self restoring.

Just 10 miles away.

The energy solution seems simple to me. Just 10 miles. How much have we spent and mined for green energy? How much on fossil?

Millions of miles in space, and can’t go 10 miles down. Our treasure is here. A small prick can deliver MGW of clean power. Plus other useful products. With cheap power, all products are useful. A no waste society. All is recycled. Cheap power is our solution. Cheap power can reset/renew our inland lakes, seas and basins. 24/7 indoor farming. Pump long distance. And we can now radiate excess heat directly into space.

Shame on us. We could advance. In comfort. With clean air. Clean everything.

Just a supposition. It might be wrong.

I’m a cubic earther.

The geo water we use today is dirty and low temp. And can cause surface deformity. And alter surface pressure.

This deep crust water is much hotter, higher pressure and much cleaner. A cleaner brine. If we bring the liquid to the surface, cool that liquid thru a steam generator(heat exchanger), and still be able to flash it to the atmosphere for secondary steam generation. Lots of energy. Flashing removes lots of impurities.

The problems you mention would only occur at the head of the plant. The primary heat transfer. A battery of inlet works can be installed to switch every 6 months. If it were needed. The same for any non wanted compounds. Some compounds/gases might be quite valuable too.

The separation and conditioning….. only takes power.

When we have cheap abundant energy, problems are looked at in a different way.

I’m betting deep well water will be much different than geo thermal water we have now.

Just a guess. No expertise here.
