Orion Skyquest XT series

im looking to buy one, but im not sure which yet<br />i've got a bit of saving up time to do before the time comes, im tempted to go all the way for the XT12 but i don't think it would be a very good choice at the moment, i will mostly be using it from my back garden, i know the sky qutie well from using my refractor/binoculars but want to step up the ladder to something with a bit more aperture<br /><br />just want to know what peoples experiences are with the different ones, i will probably end up with either the XT8 or XT10, and get the Intelliscope controller too<br /><br />i've found a website where they are offering the XT10, with free controller & holster for £669, while stocks last though so hopefully they wont sell out before i get my chance to buy one <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br /><br />also, does anyone know where i can find information on star parties in England?? mainly the north west where i live so i could maybe go to a few and try out some s'copes to help give a better idea which would be the best for me?<br /><br />thanks <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" /><br />
