Thank you for all the stuff to ponder about. It makes me wish we could have a breakthrough for farming and global warming water levels by weather control.

im not sure what to think of whistlers I am fascinated with the new term and possible ideas it might spark. Radiation belts I did not know exist. I wonder why the radiation belt exist and not a zone. Due to the emf frequency?
 
Above the thunderstorm is a portion of the ionosphere. When a lightning strike occurs it induces a current in the ionosphere. That current echoes back and forth in the magnetic field as it bounces pole to pole.
In electrical engineering it is well known that the magnitude of an induced current is proportional to the rate of change of the inducing current. This is why using an AC voltage transformer on DC won't work. In the case of lightning, the rate of change is very high, with a rise time of around 10 microseconds. Such a short rise time involving such a large current (100,000 amperes) is sufficient to induce a current 100 miles away.
A volcanic eruption has too long a rise time. Any other terrestrial phenomena than lightning is too slow.

The phenomenon I am pondering is if you move 1 mile is a straight path vs moving in a twister spiral motion

The spiral motion has a longer line so it would have to travel faster to complete the mile at the same time

I can think of practical use. The shuttle could have a rotating cockpit that rotates around the outside of the ship, that adds a spiral motion to lift off. While the rockets speed remains the same the cockpit theoretically slows down due to an elongated path.

When the spinning cockpit around the outside of the craft travels more than a straight line but finishes at the same time you would think it increase force however I theorize it lessening force due to an elongated path.

If the straight line is 1 mile and 1000 pounds of pressure then a path spinning or elongated would have 2 miles to travel while still receiving the 1000 pounds of force

Straight line = 1000pounds of force per mile
Elongated line = 500 pounds of force per mile
