Pair of merging black holes is the closest to Earth ever seen

Wouldn't it be something if these two had been one ultra-super massive blackhole in the past, split in two (a switch being flipped from attraction to repulsion, so to speak), and are in fact now two that are continuing to repulse one another rather than attract. The two eventually to divide the galaxy between them, eventually to be observed from afar to be in redshift between them. At a certain point, a condition of attractive Big Crunch, so to speak, flipping the switch to a condition of repulsive Big Bang.
