First a question, when the electrons and other various particles of an atom orbit the nucleus of an atom do these particles orbit in one direction to create the atom in question? Or do the orbital particles orbit the nucleus in a random pattern?

The reason I ask this is what if it were possible to place a small nanobot between two atom element particles where the nanobot would be part of the coupling wavelength between the particles. A pulse would be sent to the nanobot in such a manner to cause the nanobot to move in a certain direction either pulling or pushing an electron or other particle out of it's orbital to create a different orbital pattern thus changing the atom itself to a new type of atom. What would be the result of this type of re-aligning of the particles within an atom due to non-destructive means of relocation?

Well of course it just ain't that easy! Electrons are not necessarily particles, that is there position are not well defined so talking about orbits like they are little planets or something is really misleading.

One problems with this is that a nanobot is made from atoms, many millions of atoms therefor it would be WAY to large to do what you are discussing.

Another and more fundemental problem is that to change an atom you must change the nucleus NOT the electron configuration. Changing the number of electrons is called ionization. An example of ionization would be changing a chlorine atom to a chloride ion (one more electron).

You can easily cause changes in the atoms electron configuration with chemistry.

You can also change an atoms nucleus by exposing an element to a neutron flux. Nuclear reactors change the materials in the reactor to new elements continually when it is running. An example is nickel 58 absorbing a neutron and beta decaying to cobalt 59.

question, what is the nanobot made of? first it is made of atoms so how are you going to get into the space of electron obrit if the obrits take up and area smaller than the nanobot.

Second you donot need a nanobot to do alter an electron obrit. We already do this in several ways. One way is using electrical or magnetic potential. We have done this to create special electron obrit in Rydberg atoms. They atoms have electons in large orbit far from the nucleus and exhibit a host of special properties.

We can also create such state using special lasers, called nanopulse laser that can deliver powerful changes in electrical and magnetic field to electrons in electron obrit.

Finally we can alter the control electron obrits using Quantum Well / Dots. These material act as semiconductor, allow us to control the flow of single electrons. Such Quantum Well allow us to actually place additional electron in atoms, locking them in. In this we can create artifical or protoelements. We can literally create atoms on demands altering the properties of a material. Such technology is called Hacking or programmable matter and is the subject of an excellent book on the subject by Wil McCather - "Hacking Matter".

All of these ideas that you discuss relate to a paramagnetic affect where a force is exerted from the outside of the atom on the atom, the process that I speak of is generating the same exerted force on the atom but from the inside of the atom towards the outside of the atom.
