I recently created an infographic called “The Periodic Table Of Deep Sky Objects” that I think will interest a few of you. It ranks messier objects by difficulty of viewing (with an 8-inch telescope) and it also indicates the best season to observe said objects from the northern hemisphere.
This ranking is a personal opinion and I understand some objects might seem easier or harder to see for other people. The goal here is to provide some guidance to people starting out in stargazing.

- Middle: the Messier object number.
- Bottom: the apparent magnitude of the object.
